Dave Portnoy, the head of Barstool Sports, has expressed his complete disillusionment with the Democratic Party, particularly during the Biden administration, stating that the party has branded white people as villains.
In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Portnoy shared that he grew up in a liberal Democratic family but has since distanced himself from left-leaning ideologies, according to reports.
He attempted to articulate the Democrats’ disconnect with younger male voters during the discussion. “People often think I have the answers…in one word: [answer] I mean, in general, they were very anti-normal guys,” he explained to CBS reporter Tony Dokoupil.
Dokoupil challenged Portnoy’s characterization, asking, “What do you mean by normal man? Are you saying there’s only one way to be a man?”
Portnoy replied that Democrats appear to have concluded that white men attracted to “sexy” women are problematic. “White people…have become the bad guys,” he stated.
He went on to add, “A lot of white people are thinking, ‘It’s not my fault. Why are you mad at me? I didn’t come here for colonialism or the issues you guys were complaining about 200 years ago.’”
Portnoy also slammed Democrats for labeling Trump supporters as “deplorables” and referring to Trump himself in extremist terms.
He expressed deep concern over the rising anti-Semitism in the U.S. and the personal attacks he endures because he is Jewish. “It’s every day. There’s a critical shift in what’s happening…For me, as a Jew, you have to step up,” he said. “You’re the kind of person that people in the Jewish community look up to. You have to think, okay, this is not normal.”
Recently, Portnoy was confronted by a left-wing student at a pizza place in Starkville, Mississippi, while filming a review. A student from Mississippi State University was charged with disturbing the peace after he shouted anti-Semitic remarks at Portnoy.
