Dave Portnoy details wild day at Celtics NBA Finals victory parade

Barstool founder Dave Portnoy seemed to have the best day of his life when he attended the Boston Celtics championship parade on Friday.

“Seriously, I wish a day like today on my worst enemy. Everyone deserves to live,” Portnoy posted on X.

The Celtics defeated the Mavericks in five games on Monday, clinching the franchise’s 18th championship in a commanding postseason victory.

Sitting outside a classic Boston duck boat, Portnoy led a throng of Celtics fans in chants of “Fuck Kyrie Irving” that were broadcast live on NBC 10 Boston.

The Barstool founder and media mogul also mentioned Boston’s famous “autograph kid.”

Though he’s much older now, he’s still making signs, this time updated to “22 Years Old, 13 Parades,” touting not only his dedication but also the tremendous professional sports success Boston has enjoyed in the 21st century.

The Barstool founder revealed he’s beaten cancer in a shocking announcement this week, with many wondering why he has a bandage on the left side of his neck.

“I have cancer, by the way. No big deal,” Portnoy said, later revealing that he had skin cancer.

“I had cancer, but I overcame it. Thankfully, it wasn’t a serious cancer.”

Portnoy grew up in Boston and was a lifelong Celtics fan, having founded the newspaper Barstool Sports.

He also had bets on Scottie Scheffler to win the Masters and on the Celtics to win the NBA Finals.

Portnoy won $1.6 million in parlays during a wild heat that generated more than $7 million in profits.
