It seems like Dave Portnoy suddenly forgot about Ohio State.
Following a reported ban from the university right before their season opener against First Texas in Columbus on Saturday, the Barstool founder expressed what many might have been thinking this past Tuesday.
“Forget everything—Taylor is engaged,” he posted, reacting to the news of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement, announced in a joint Instagram post after two years of dating.
Later, he shared a video on X, celebrating the couple’s news while out for a walk with his girlfriend Camryn D’Aloia and their two dogs.
“I’m just out here taking the kids for a walk on Tuesday, trying to cool them down,” Portnoy mentioned. “I’ve got this whole situation with Ohio on my mind. I was banned, I wasn’t banned—who knows what’s true? And then Taylor Swift gets engaged. His mother, too. Congrats to Travis Kelce.”
“So, congratulations to Taylor. I couldn’t be happier for you. And just forget Kanye (West). Just forget.”
Portnoy, who’s been a supporter of Swift since her relationship with Kelce became prominent in the NFL scene, has often shown his loyalty. Swift even sent him a handwritten letter expressing her gratitude and support during a challenging time.
