Dave Portnoy offers tips on how to create a successful podcast

Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, knows one or two things about podcasts and now thinks the industry is “super-convolutional,” so being “fast and different” is a key element of success.

“We had all the podcasts, but we came through our doors in the sun. We were early for a lot of them,” Portnoy told Fox News Digital.

Barstool has almost every podcast, and “Macro Dosing” allows hosts to explore conspiracy theories, “Yak” and “KFC Radio.” Sports, etc. Barstool also produces a lot of comedy and gambling podcasts, and Portnoy will co-host “The Named Show.”

Portnoy considers the recipe for success to be extremely easy.

“We're doing a podcast, whether it's interesting, connected, honest, authentic, or whatever, whether it's done before,” he said. “Reliability with the audience.”
