Miss Peach, a 6-year-old American pit bull, has stolen the heart of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and is quickly gaining the adoration of social media users around the world.
“Miss Peach is an angel,” Portnoy told her “Fox & Friends” co-hosts Thursday morning as she held her gray and brown dog in her lap.
“She’s the sweetest person ever.”
Miss Peaches, along with 26 other dogs, was rescued by the Lifeline Animal Project in Atlanta.
Portnoy said these animals are victims of neglect, hoarding and breeding conditions.
When Portnoy heard about Miss Peach, he flew to Atlanta and brought her home.
“She was having a terrible life until about a week ago,” he explained. “She went from her villa to the penthouse.”
The videos on Miss Peaches’ Instagram page @famousmisspeaches document their relationship from the moment they met.
From cuddling in bed to lounging on the beach, fans online can see the bond Portnoy and Miss Peach have formed over the course of a few days.
And now social media users are helping other dogs in similar situations.
Miss Peaches’ Instagram followers have exploded to nearly 300,000, and Portnoy says she has the fastest-growing Barstool social media account in history, using those followers to He said he was raising money for the Lifeline Animal Project.
“We’ve been selling T-shirts. In fact, we’ve currently raised about $150,000 for dog rescue organizations,” he explained.
Miss Peaches has her own page on Barstool Sports’ online storefront, featuring hoodies and T-shirts emblazoned with her face and the encouragement “Adopt Don’t Shop.”
“Look at that face!” Portnoy said as he bent down and kissed Miss Peach on the forehead.

Portnoy reiterated his message to people looking to bring a dog into their home. Don’t shop. ”
“I strongly believe there are no such things as bad dogs, only bad owners,” he said.
“I love all dogs. There are a lot of dogs out there, and there are a lot of great dogs like Miss Peach who need loving owners.”
