David Beckham Responds After Son’s Social Media Allegations

David Beckham has finally spoken up just hours after his son Brooklyn made serious claims against his parents on social media. During a segment on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Tuesday, David discussed the ups and downs of social media, as well as his children’s “mistakes.”

“I’ve always commented on social media and its potential, both the positives and negatives,” David remarked. “The risky parts about what kids can access these days can be alarming. But I’ve also learned to leverage it for good, especially regarding my kids. My work with UNICEF has allowed me to raise awareness about children’s issues worldwide.”

Later on, he added, “I’ve also been focused on educating my children. Mistakes are a part of growing up. Kids need the space to learn, even if that means they stumble sometimes.”

Earlier that day, while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, David avoided discussing Brooklyn when approached. He was photographed smiling and walking away when asked about his son’s posts online.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Brooklyn expressed frustrations about his relationship with his parents, writing, “I’ve been quiet for too long, trying to keep matters private. But my parents keep appearing in the press, so I must share my truth. This isn’t about reconciling; it’s about standing up for myself.” He continued, stating that his parents have manipulated media narratives around their family for years.

Brooklyn claimed that there was ongoing effort from his parents to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz, even before their wedding in 2022. He pointed out an incident where his mother canceled the production of Nicola’s wedding dress at the last moment, which left them scrambling for alternatives. He emphasized how, in the lead-up to the wedding, he felt pressured to sign agreements that impacted his future.

He recounted a particularly awkward moment during their wedding when his mother interrupted his first dance with Nicola, turning what was supposed to be a romantic occasion into a source of embarrassment.

Brooklyn concluded that for his family, the image comes before genuine support. “Brand Beckham takes precedence above everything else,” he stated.

A source familiar with the family dynamics said Brooklyn’s allegations are indeed true. Another source mentioned that the opportunity for resolution seems to have passed.

In the midst of the ongoing family tension, Rebecca Ruth, David’s former assistant, weighed in, recalling past days and suggesting that Brooklyn’s revelations are heartfelt. “I’m relieved he’s finally asserting himself,” she remarked, reflecting on the challenges Brooklyn’s wife has faced.

So, despite the apparent public unity, the undercurrents of strain within the Beckham family are evident, with emotions running high as they navigate these turbulent times.
