David Bossie: Congress Needs to Investigate the Concealment of Biden’s Mental Decline

The Concerns Surrounding Biden’s Mental Fitness

There’s been a significant and ongoing cover-up regarding former President Joe Biden’s evident cognitive decline. As we move towards a crucial moment, questions need to be asked. What actions should we take? Since his low-profile presidential campaign surfaced during the tumultuous 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, inquiries into Biden’s mental state were consistently pushed aside by biased media and unsupportive Democratic politicians. However, with troubling new evidence emerging in a recent book, the standard response of “there’s nothing to see here” no longer holds water.

For many Americans who rely on intuition and common sense, Biden’s decline is glaringly obvious. This sentiment has been apparent for quite some time, despite mainstream media urging people to ignore what they observe. The Biden administration has been notably opaque, seemingly maneuvering in a political landscape filled with favoritism towards a former president deemed ineffective in a bid for power at any cost. The chaos surrounding the 2024 presidential election shouldn’t just culminate in shame for Democrats; the public deserves truth and accountability that has long been overlooked.

For those who’ve followed the left’s approach to dealing with President Trump over the past decade, there’s a pattern: admitting to failures is often avoided. Instead, promoting misinformation appears more favorable than seeing Trump succeed. This backdrop makes it less surprising that Biden’s issues are being covered, rather than confronted. If transparency were prioritized, it would spark challenging discussions about the implications of having a president who may not be entirely fit for duty. The possibility of invoking the 25th Amendment, to consider Biden’s removal, wasn’t genuinely entertained.

Discussing Biden’s cognitive decline isn’t sufficient. The conversation also needs to pivot towards Vice President Kamala Harris and her role. There’s an urgent need for Congress to establish a bipartisan selection committee aimed at shedding light on these concerns. Unlike the contentious January 6th committee, this one should include both Republicans and Democrats, as Americans deserve a comprehensive investigation with equal representation. A concerning allegation is that Biden may not truly be running the country, raising significant issues.

The proposed committee ought to start by questioning the authors of recent books about the 2024 campaign. For instance, Chris Whipple could provide insights on Biden and his chief of staff, Ron Klain. Following this, Jonathan Allen and Amy Perns previously characterized Biden as a “shell” of his former self. Additionally, Jake Tupper and Alex Thompson should discuss Biden’s failure to recognize figures like George Clooney, which raises questions about his fitness. After the election, the media hesitated to bring attention to Biden’s noticeable decline, which deserves further explanation.

Key evidence regarding Biden’s mental fitness comes from an audio recording of an interview with special advisor Robert Huar. This recording should be publicized urgently. Moreover, details from the recent book indicating that Biden has been portrayed as an “elderly man with a poor memory” necessitate congressional inquiry. Investigating all advisers involved in key interactions with Biden is essential to clarify these troubling assertions.

Yet, merely scratching the surface won’t suffice. High-ranking officials within the Biden administration must testify about Biden’s condition behind closed doors. This includes ascertaining what Vice President Harris knows and when she became aware of it, along with insights from senior officials like Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Former White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre has made public declarations about Biden’s sharpness, which further muddles the narrative.

Congress must investigate the role of non-elected staff who may have significant influence in Biden’s administration. Additionally, former First Lady Biden represents another essential witness, capable of shedding light on daily decision-making processes to prevent future occurrences. Concerns about Biden’s reliance on an autopen for signing documents should not be ignored either. Whether he personally signed all important declarations is critical to address, as differing levels of involvement could imply various issues.

Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer recently dodged questions about Biden’s perceived cognitive issues. Responses like “We’re looking forward to it” are insufficient given the gravity of the situation. Americans deserve genuine integrity, and Republicans must spearhead the effort to pursue answers to these long-ignored questions.
