Democrat Vice-Speaker David Hogg is creating issues the party doesn’t want to deal with, as Democrats still struggle with how to properly counter the fast actions of the Trump administration.
Politics Report Many Democrats on the DNC and Capitol Hill have vented their frustration with Hogg’s decision to have his personal organisation carry out his mission to support key Democratic opponents in deep blue districts. This move is very unusual given that even if leadership acts in personal capabilities, the DNC does not engage in the primary in such an obvious way.
We, We Frighters, co-founded by Hogg in 2023, announced this week a plan to spend $20 million on incumbents who believe LWD is not enough to meet the concerns of young voters. Hogg says he’s not going to chase Democrats in the Swing District.

When Hogg became the DNC vice-chairman, many raised concerns about his left and right views, and worried that those views would strengthen voters’ ratings that Democrats were too radical. It is because of the Democratic Party’s move to the left over many issues that President Donald Trump has been able to form an alliance with historically liberal figures like Tarsi Gabbard and Robert Kennedy Jr.
Other Democrats point to Hogg’s history as an activist on why his decision to chase incumbents is not a surprise.
