The Biden administration is considering enacting yet another amnesty program as the crisis at the southern border continues to worsen and real solutions are needed.
The White House is reportedly considering a plan to give green cards to 4,000 illegal aliens. Foreign nationals who have been in the country for at least 10 years and have not been convicted of a serious crime are eligible to participate in the program. according to New York Post. The rumored proposal is DACA and dapa The program was created by the Obama administration by executive order and allows millions of undocumented immigrants to receive the same benefits as U.S. citizens. For more than a decade, DACA and DAPA have served as twin pillars of immigration law, but the current administration appears poised to expand and normalize executive amnesty.
The arguments against this latest amnesty proposal will likely be similar to those repeated ad nauseam in support of DACA and DAPA. Anti-border advocates will argue that the people who will benefit from the program have been in the country for many years and have become part of the community, and it would be cruel to send them back to their home countries. The logical conclusion to this argument is that anyone who enters the country illegally and stays long enough can stay here forever and eventually obtain citizenship. This, of course, is the ultimate goal for the administration and its extremist allies in the illegal immigration lobby.
That’s why the Biden administration, on its first day in office, sent a proposal The bill would have given Congress a path to citizenship for the tens of millions of undocumented immigrants currently living in the country. The White House can cloak these proposals in whatever niceties it wants, but it has made clear that the core principle of its immigration policy is to grant citizenship to those in the country illegally. Ambitious immigrants are not stupid and are well aware that if they survive the perilous journey through Central America, they will be allowed to stay and receive all sorts of benefits not available in their home countries. This is the main reason why there are over 7 million illegal aliens. exceeded U.S. borders and the number of illegal aliens under this administration’s watch. I come every month Continue climbing.
In addition to facilitating this perverse incentive structure, another problem with the government’s green card proposal is the requirement that beneficiaries not be convicted of serious crimes. No one wants to see a green card given to someone convicted of a serious crime, but what is a serious crime to most people and what is a serious crime to the powers that be currently in power? It may be different.
For example, the average American would consider drunk driving a disqualification for foreigners who want to remain in the country, but this administration may not be visible in this way. Illegal alien crimes are increasing nationwide, and women are also being involved in crimes. georgia and michigan They are believed to have been killed in recent months at the hands of illegal immigrants. The idea that we can reward illegal immigration without compromising public safety or undermining the rule of law is a travesty. Illegal begets illegality, and a government that is willing to bend the law to address immigration illegality is a government that will have no hesitation in bending the law in other areas as well.
Approximately two months have passed since the news that the Biden administration was inaugurated. under consideration An executive order was issued to reduce the flow of illegal immigrants at the border, but no such order was issued. Instead, the only executive order the White House is seriously considering appears to be one that would grant green cards to thousands of illegal aliens. As for my organization pointed out, when the administration wants to take executive action to secure its borders, it has years of federal law and Supreme Court precedent on its side. But instead of enforcing laws to deter illegal immigration, this administration appears prepared to expand them to further encourage illegal immigration.
The proposed large-scale green card giveaway would be another slap in the face to the American people by a federal government that clearly views their sovereignty and security as disposable. The only possible consequences of continuing to reward illegal immigration are far greater than that. That’s exactly what will happen if this rumored proposal comes to light.
