Actor Dean Cain, known for his role in Lois & Clark: Superman’s New Adventures, is taking some heat from comedian John Oliver and others in the entertainment world.
Recently, Cain revealed plans to join Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) with the intention of aiding America’s safety. “I felt it was essential to stand with our first responders,” he expressed, emphasizing the need for direct action.
He noted, “Under President Trump’s administration, ICE has made numerous arrests, capturing many individuals accused of serious crimes such as terrorism, sexual assault, and drug trafficking.”
In a humorous response, John Oliver echoed criticisms that others, like actor John Leguizamo, had already shared on social media.
Oliver remarked, “There’s a saying in Hollywood: ‘If you can get it, you’re a f…’ He went further, adding, “I mean, ICE isn’t exactly failing to find people. When I see the 59-year-old star of ‘Dog That Saved Christmas’ attempting to don his badge, I think, ‘You’re in trouble.’
“He doesn’t wear a mask since, well, everyone would recognize him,” Oliver concluded.
Dean Cain, not one to back down, took to social media. “He took that mask joke from the internet,” he stated, also noting Oliver’s comedic reaction about Trump running for president. “The case is closed… and those dog movies? Sweet,” he added.
