Delta Flight Returns to Boston Airport Due to Smoky Odor in Cabin

Delta Airline Flight was forced to return to Boston's Logan Airport early Sunday after taking off due to smoking in the plane's cabin.

A spokesman explained that Delta Flight 1398 returned to the airport after the smoky smell was detected, saying, “Our flight crew has safely returned to Boston following established procedures. We sincerely apologise for the delayed travel of our customers.”

The odor was detected and “an emergency was declared to be treated as priority positions by air traffic restrictions,” with 87 passengers and five flight crew members on board,” the report said.

Prior to the Los Angeles incident, a Delta line flight crashed at Toronto Pearson Airport while landing and upside down upon arrival from Minneapolis, reported on February 17th.

“CTV News reported that one child and two adults were seriously injured as a result of the plane crashing,” the outlet said.

After Sunday's incident in Boston, the plane safely returned to the gate, with three emergency crew members present. One of those individuals was taken to the hospital for care.

According to Breitbart News, on Saturday, a FedEx cargo plane launched a fire after hitting a bird in the air just after takeoff from Newar Liberty International Airport.

“Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials said the aircraft was hit by a bird upon departure and damaged one of the Boeing 767's engines,” the report said, adding that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
