The second flight, which originated from Charlotte, North Carolina, returned for days after reporting mechanical issues shortly after takeoff.
Delta Line Flight 3067 took off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport around 10:15am on its way to Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport, the airline told Fox News Digital.
A few minutes after the flight, a mechanical problem was reported and the plane returned to Charlotte.

“Following safety procedures, the DL3067 squadron returned to Charlotte after reporting a mechanical problem on its way to Atlanta,” a Delta spokesperson said. “We apologize to our customers for delayed travel plans.”
Neither of the 71 passengers nor five crew members were injured, according to the airline.
Passengers were booked on other flights to Atlanta.
On Tuesday, American Airlines flight AAL1216 left Charlotte for Palm Beach International Airport and turned back.

Airport officials said the pilots had ended the “emergency” once the plane landed, Queen City News reported.
The plane was in the air for an hour and 26 minutes and landed back in Charlotte at 3:19pm.
The airline told the outlet that the plane had returned due to “maintenance” issues.

“The flights landed safely and became taxis at the gates under their own power. The aircraft is no longer serviced to be inspected by the maintenance team, and the customers boarded exchange aircraft to continue the PBI,” an American Airlines statement said.
