Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said last week on CNN that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to influence the U.S. election by continuing his war against Iran and Iranian-backed terrorist groups. He openly questioned whether this was the case.

“I'm certainly concerned that Prime Minister Netanyahu is looking at the American election as he makes decisions about military operations in the north and in Gaza,” Murphy told CNN's Erin Burnett. Ta.
“While I hope this is not true, it is certainly possible that the Israeli government will not sign any diplomatic agreements before the U.S. election as a means of potentially trying to influence the outcome,” Murphy hinted. Ta. Deep rifts within the Democratic Party over the Gaza war.
Murphy's concerns were echoed by a White House reporter who asked during Friday's briefing with President Joe Biden whether Netanyahu was trying to influence the election. biden answered:

And I don't know if he's trying to influence the election, but I'm not counting on it.
Israel has been the target of about 200 ballistic missiles from Iran in the past week, and Israeli soldiers have discovered a large cache of weapons in Lebanon, near the border, which could be used for similar attacks on northern Israel on October 7. It is believed to have been used in an attack.
