Democrat ex-judge, wife who apparently let suspected Tren de Aragua gangsters live at their home arrested by ICE

New Mexico and his wife’s former judge were taken into custody Thursday night after allegedly suspected of the Tren de Aragua gang, who apparently lived in their residence.

in fact, Illegal aliens of three young men Apparently he lived from Venezuela in the Casita behind the house of Las Cruces, shared by Nancy and Jose “Joel” Cano. All three Venezuelans, including 23-year-old Christian Ortegalopez, have been described by federal agents as well-known members of the malicious Venezuelan gang trending Aragua.

On February 28, immigration and customs enforcement agents conducted a search warrant at Canos’ home in connection with a gang allegedly arrested. Three days later, former police officer Joel Cano announced his resignation as Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge.

“If I had felt danger, there is none in the world where my grandchild would have allowed me to contact the boys.”

The New Mexico Judicial Standards Board soon began an investigation into Kano’s possible “willful misconduct,” and Kano submitted a 23-page letter responding to the allegations. In the letter, Kano repeatedly called suspicious gang members “boys” and denied the idea that they could be bad news.

According to Court, he wrote. “It was the first time I heard that the boys could have had a relationship with Tren de Aragua when I was informed. [the] Agent on the day of the attack. ”

Kano further insisted that if he had known, he would never have allowed the “boys” to interact with his grandchildren.

Kano also claimed that official documents showed that the “boy” was not at risk of deportation. He repeatedly saw “this person is not subject to removal,” and said he was pointed out in their form, and they saw an asylum hearing being scheduled.

Finally, the former Judge denied other charges related to photo and video evidence that are suspected of being suspected of being accused of Canos and the crime at least once. “I didn’t have a single firearm in range, and I didn’t take any ammunition in range either. [My wife] And I went only as an audience,” Kano insisted.

Nancy Cano’s daughter, April Cano, has been accused of allowing Ortega Lopez to “hold and sometimes fire a variety of firearms.” Prosecutors reportedly provided photo and video evidence that Ortega Lopez was holding the weapon. Ortega Lopez’s TDA-related tattoos are said to look similar in photos and videos.

Reports say Nancy Cano first met Ortega Lopez while living in El Paso and was released from an immigration detention facility in South Laredo due to overcrowding in December 2023, she came across working construction and other strange jobs.

“Initially, we came back here to arrest his wife. We obviously started doing interviews and started looking at the evidence, so then Kano was arrested as well.”

Ortega Lopez is currently sitting at the Doña Ana County Detention Center without detention in the face of charges related to illegal border intersections and federal weapons violations.

And now he and Canos are together again. The Canoes are similarly locked up in the Doña Ana County Detention Center without being held, and face accusations of tampering with evidence, jail records show.

Jason Stevens, a special agent in the Homeland Security Investigation, who is in charge of the El Paso office, gave more insight into their fears. “Initially, we came back here to arrest his wife. We obviously started doing interviews and started looking at the evidence, so then Kano was arrested as well,” he said. Newsweek.

Former Ice Field Office Director John Fabricatore spoke to many when he told a local news outlet:

Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem responded to news of Canos’ arrest Social Media:

Under President Trump, we arrested over 150,000 aliens. This includes more than 600 members of the malicious Tren de Aragua gang.

If you are illegally here and breaking the law, we will corner you, arrest you, lock you up.

That’s a promise.

The New Mexico Supreme Court has forever banned Joel Cano from serving on the bench again.

Canos did not respond to a request for comment from Court, who appears to have contacted the couple prior to their arrest.
