The reelection campaign of Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) announced a seven-figure ad buy on Wednesday. 30 Second Video In it, he voiced his support for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and denounced Democratic attacks on the issue.

“That’s what politics is all about today. Attack ads saying the same crazy things about all Republicans. They hate women, they hate birth control and even IVF. It’s ridiculous. Let’s face it, IVF has brought beautiful babies to so many families,” Scott says in the ad, which will air on television and digital platforms in Florida starting next week.

“This is personal to me. My youngest daughter is undergoing IVF treatments to expand our family. I’m Rick Scott and this grandfather will continue to defend IVF and I hope you will too,” he concluded.

Scott, who recently announced his bid for Republican Senate Majority Leadership against former Democratic Rep. Debbie Mucarsel Powell for reelection, said in an interview with Breitbart News on Thursday that he has been “vocal” in his support for IVF, especially since his daughter has undergone the process.

“So I put out an ad. [let] “Democrats are lying and saying I’m against birth control and IVF,” he said.

IVF is a process in which mature eggs are removed from the ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory. [and] Then, one or more fertilized eggs (embryos) are transferred to the uterus, where the baby will grow.” according to To the Mayo Clinic.

President Joe Biden and Democrats across the country have made abortion a central part of their campaigns. Alabama Supreme Court Domination A few months ago, it was announced that frozen embryos created through IVF would be considered fetuses under state law, and anyone who destroys them could be held liable. Democrats quickly jumped on the bandwagon after several IVF clinics in the state suspended operations, but the clinics later resumed operations after Alabama Republicans passed emergency legislation to protect health care providers.

Many Republicans believe that life begins at conception, but since the ruling, they have uncritically support This is to prevent IVF from appearing “extreme,” despite the moral and ethical quandaries surrounding the process. Former President Donald Trump talked He supports in vitro fertilization and argues that Republicans should “make it easier for mothers and families to have babies, not harder.”

Senate Democrats are currently work In an effort to portray Republicans as misogynistic ahead of the November elections, Republicans, including Senator Scott, tried to force votes on several reproductive bills, including one that would have created broad federal rights to in vitro fertilization and birth control. “[The contraception] “This bill is not about birth control,” Scott points out. “It’s about providing condoms to elementary school children. It requires all schools, religious and not, to provide condoms to children as young as 6 years old.”

“[Democrats] They always go too far. They demand everything, they ask everyone to change the rules… so I [Republicans] We must be clear that we support contraception and we support in vitro fertilization. But that is by no means [Democrats’] The Bill would do that,” he added.

Scott said the ad was part of an effort to encourage Republicans to take control and set their own policy positions, rather than letting Democrats dictate policy.

“We have to be very aggressive about what we stand for. [Democrats] “That’s true,” he said, adding that current Senate leadership has not “proactively addressed the problem” or established a consistent message for the party.

“That’s one of the reasons I’m running. [f0r] “As leaders, we have to stop accepting the status quo. We have to be constantly on the defensive,” he said.

Scott added that Democrats are fixated on issues like abortion and IVF “because they can’t campaign on the things people care about.”

“They can’t run on border security, because they don’t. They can’t run on inflation control, because they don’t care,” he said. “They can’t run on anti-Semitism, because they don’t care. So they have to lie. And I’m not going to let them lie about me.”

“Democrats want to paint us as anti-women. [But] “Democrat policies have been terrible for women,” he added. “They’ve created incredible inflation. Democrat policies have created a terrible job market. Democrat policies have made education too expensive.”

Beyond IVF, Scott called on Republicans to deliver consistent messaging on the issues that matter most to them heading into November.

“Let me be clear: our policies to secure the border will make your family safer. Our policies to secure the border will reduce the chances that your child will die from a fentanyl overdose,” he said. “Our policies to close the border will ensure that there aren’t as many gangs and criminals in this country. Your daughter won’t have to play against boys in girls’ sports in high school. They won’t even be able to come into your bathroom.”
