Democrat Senator John Fetterman has voiced his support for Donald Trump’s military parade.
“It’s fitting to recognize 250 years of sacrifice, devotion, and service, irrespective of political leanings.”
Trump shared Fetterman’s tweet, which highlighted that the parade represents everyday Americans.

D-Pa. Senator John Fetterman has stated his support for President Donald Trump’s military parade, encouraging Americans to back it regardless of their political views.
“This parade consists of our sons, daughters, mothers and fathers. It’s our best. It’s fitting to celebrate 250 years of sacrifice, dedication, and service, regardless of your politics,” Fetterman shared on Saturday.
Trump hosted a parade in Washington, D.C. on Saturday to mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. military, drawing thousands to the capital. It featured the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team performing jumps, displays of a World War II Jeep, and soldiers interacting with the crowd beneath the Constitution.
“Other nations celebrate victory. That’s when America did it too. That’s what we’re doing tonight,” he remarked.
Recently, Fetterman has diverged from his Democratic colleagues on various issues.
Fetterman has disagreed with his party on several fronts lately, including immigration and the ongoing conflict in Gaza. He is notably the only Democrat introducing the Laken Riley Act, which criticizes his party’s response to protests in Los Angeles regarding federal immigration issues.
“My party loses moral ground when it ignores peaceful protests or lawful dissent,” Fetterman expressed Monday. “I’m not against freedom of speech or peaceful demonstrations, but that’s not the whole story.”
