Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) spoke at a Congressional hearing Thursday about Angel Mums, whose daughter was allegedly murdered by members of the Illegal Alien MS-13 gang, and another who was poisoned with fentanyl. insulted the child. They are not qualified to decide whether Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached.
As Breitbart News reported, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Greene (R-Tenn.) held a second Mayorkas impeachment hearing this week.
Angel mom Tammy Nobles said her daughter Kayla Hamilton was allegedly murdered by members of the illegal alien MS-13 gang, and Josephine Dunn testified that her daughter Ashley Marie was poisoned with fentanyl. Mr. Mayorkas declined to testify.
Mr. Goldman will use the hearing to insult Mr. Nobles and Mr. Dunn and decide whether to impeach Mr. Mayorkas, even though both have experienced the human cost of illegal immigration and drug trafficking. He claimed he was not qualified.
Goldman told Noble and Dunn:
I just want to apologize to you in any way because you really came here to share your story, but being used as a fact witness in an impeachment inquiry and obviously considering your experience, you have no They don't have the knowledge to understand what's going on. What is a felony misdemeanor and how does it relate to this? I hope it's okay.
Mr. Dunn then fired back at Mr. Goldman, repeatedly asking whether Mr. Mayorkas had visited the U.S.-Mexico border during his term, saying Border Patrol agents were merely acting as a “welcoming committee” at the border. he warned.
The exchange went as follows.
goldman: Mrs. Dunn, I think you agree that if we had more law enforcement officers at the border and more resources and technology to stop the flow of fentanyl, it would help stop the fentanyl trade. Do you agree with that?
group: I disagree with that opinion. Because the Border Patrol is now being used to make sandwiches and test people and let them into our country. Therefore, I disagree with you.
goldman: So I think you're saying that you're angry that Border Patrol isn't making sandwiches, so more Border Patrol isn't going to help. Patrolman charged with interdicting fentanyl deal?
group: I want the Border Patrol to be able to do what they were hired to do. Every Border Patrol agent I spoke to said their hands were tied by this administration and Mr. Mayorkas. I've been to the border, right? do you have?
goldman: sorry. I'm asking a question.
group: I just thought about it.
Still, Nobles and Dunn said they believe Mayorkas was at least partially responsible for their daughter's death in 2021 and 2022. That's because Mr. Mayorkas implemented President Joe Biden's extensive catch-and-release network that pulled officials from the border to process illegally entering aliens.
“He needs to close that border,” Dunn told Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.). “Everyone keeps saying, 'Give us more money.' Those poor Border Patrol agents are now the welcoming committee. They're told to serve as the welcoming committee. They're the welcoming committee. They don't want to be. That's what they're being told to do by Mayorkas and this administration.”
“Someone is telling the poor Border Patrol agents not to do their job. No matter how much money you give them, they won't be allowed to do their job,” Dunn said.
