Democrats Aim to Keep Americans in Financial Bondage

Democrats and Economic Issues

Lepage and host Matthew Boyle engaged in a discussion about the former governor’s involvement in significant political changes in the U.S. They went over some of the reforms he initiated during his governance.

“My focus has always been on representing taxpayers. They are the ones who really matter,” he stated.

He noted the impact of certain decisions on the pharmaceutical sector, explaining how individuals would hand EBT cards to drug dealers. After getting their drugs, he said these cards would often vanish during the late-night hours. “The governor couldn’t track these EBT cards during drug raids,” he mentioned, using these instances to highlight broader issues in Washington.

“We can address these matters; we can make a difference. I want to work in Washington, and while I attempted to implement a tiered system for welfare in Maine, I was met with resistance from Democrats,” Lepage explained.

“In reality, when you try to offer a mere 25-cent wage increase, many lose financial support, making it untenable. My goal is to create a steady system to help lift individuals out of poverty. It’s about taking a gradual approach.” Boyle agreed, suggesting that Democrats seem to favor maintaining the lower classes, prompting his speculation.

“I refer to it as economic bondage,” added Lepage.
