There is a saying that when you're trapped in a hole, you're digging in.
When Congress was called up for a new session this year, Democrats were given the opportunity to dig out of the groove against the common sense position that girls' sports are just for girls.
The critical voter sentiment was the moment to change courses and accept a simple bill to make protections for women and girls in sports laws, as well as to clarify Title IX's intentions.

But they were so proud they couldn't admit that they were wrong, so they continued digging.
I'm a female athlete at 3 sports high school in Maine – I don't need to compete with biological men
It drives the great Martina Navratirova crazy. It drives Democratic government Gavin Newsom to change his song. And it was able to drive the 2026 Congress map very well to support Republicans.
Instead of respecting public opinion polls, Capitol Hill Democrats refuse to change courses, dig into the heels and strongly support protecting men who identify men from women's sports.
Their interference is unconvincing. During the floor debate in January, House Democrats displayed posters yelling “Child Predator Building.” They warned that pediatricians would be able to perform “genital tests” on sexual predators because they could not record the student's gender on routine physical examinations.
Their vigilance strategy against a simple bill to define female athletes with the aim of enforcing equal opportunities under Title IX has been flattened. One news outlet featured his last straw as a loyal Democrat who published a ridiculous spin tactic about the bill.
After the passing of the house of women and girls' protections in sports law (only two Democrats defy the party's line), the New York Times released a poll that found that 79% of Americans who support keeping men out of women's sports, including 67% of self-identified Democrats, prefer to leave women's sports.
I'm a runner and know that racing to save women's sports is great
This type of majority support is unprecedented in the partisan aisle these days. Some Democrats in states like Georgia, Michigan and New Jersey have heard the message and are on side with Republicans on similar bills.
But in the US Senate. Senate Democrats once again blocked it. This time, desperate to sound more rational, they won votes in March on a rope that misleadingly “trust our state, league and region.”
This argument is another charade that deceives the public about federal responsibility under Title IX.
Elected officials should know that Title IX is a federal civil rights law. Its mission to prohibit sexism is not a matter of “federalism” but rather has others decide the rules.
State, local and school sports leagues are not permitted by federal law to supplement independent arbitrary rules regarding gender-based sport eligibility. They don't have that option. And that makes sense. Biology does not change based on where you live.
Will the Democrats stand up for women or will they have men destroy girls' sports?
Federal law is not a whimsical business. That's why Biden's Title IX rewrites creating a “gender identity” and new sex was dumped in federal court.
The standard for equal opportunity titles in athletics based on sex, men and women is not determined by local people or leagues. It's not an option for educational institutions that receive federal funds.
The democratic debate over the protection of women and girls in sports law is not defensible for commonsense class and file voters. Obstacles simply expose the inevitable transideological conflict. You can deny women's protection as women and make men “female.”
It didn't happen yesterday. In 2013, President Barack Obama signed a democratic rewrite of violence against women that redefines gender to include “gender identity.” The result was that women identified women as having access to women's shelters, and that women stripped of protection from predators. It's the moment when Democrats legally confiscated the mantle protecting women as women and cast our safety and privacy on wolves based on sex.

Rep. Lori Trahan, D-Mass. exemplifies liberal hypocrisy regarding women's rights. At a recent hearing, former NCAA Division I athlete Trahan expressed concern about the fairness of the names, images and portraits of the university's women's sports.
However, Trahan voted against the protection of women and girls in the sports law. She supports female athletes, but refused to protect the fairness of female athletes from trans-inclusion, just like any other hypocrite who says male Swimmeria Thomas invades women's sports and space.
Newsom may have created the news by breaking in from the party line, but the story is cheap. He has a lot to do to stop unfair competition in California as high school men dominate the courts and steal women's sports titles.

Democrats embraced the loss strategy around protecting women's sports and assured Republicans another opportunity to decide the issue in the next election. Democrat voters have decided. They don't like the women's team or the men's bodies that stretch their elbows over the podium of women.
Elections continue to decline in the same year as the Olympics. This is a constant memory of voters that women's sports are only for women.
