Democrats held hostage by party’s far-left radicals, top Hillary aide admits

Phillip Reines, a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, lamented that the Democratic Party is being held hostage by radicals within the party and is suffering electoral losses.

Rhines argued that many Democrats are actually concerned about the Biden-Harris border crisis and are opposed to men participating in women's sports.

“I think Democrats believe in common sense more than you think. I mean, it's not like we're going to sit at home and not talk to anybody. I think there's a problem. Most Democrats I know, frankly, think that born men shouldn't play women's sports and vice versa.” Reines told CNN on Friday.

“If you're going to ignore the political implications of something like this, you're just as likely to lose an election as we are.”

“Either way, here's the problem: I don't care what the right thinks about the Democratic Party. I care what I think about the Democratic Party. … Some of our supporters… , political parties almost dictate our positions, and we are labeled as the most extreme people,” he continued.

“Again, I'm scared to say the wrong thing. Woke stuff, PC police stuff. There's going to be some Republicans who will say, 'I'm scared to say X. I'm scared to say X. . These senators are afraid to say X. Why?'' Reines said.

As if to prove Rhines' point, the Boston Globe reported The campaign manager and PAC director for Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said Moulton opposes men participating in women's sports because he worries about his daughters. As a result, he resigned.

The longtime chairman of the Texas Democratic Party also resigned this week. Part of the reason is that Democrats said their embrace of transgenderism at the expense of women cost them a landslide in the 2024 election.

“For example, we can support transgender rights in every category where the issue is raised, and we can understand that there are things we have gone too far that a large part of the population does not support. “If you're going to ignore the political implications of this kind of thing, you're asking to lose elections like we did,” said Gilberto Hinojosa.

Moulton and Hinojosa's comments about transgenderism sparked intense backlash from progressives.

President-elect Donald Trump won the election in part because of Vice President Kamala Harris' actions on social issues, such as wanting to provide taxpayer-funded surgeries to U.S. prison inmates and illegal immigrants. His camp was able to successfully emphasize its extreme position. detention.
