Trump and Republican leaders have condemned the protests against Democratic activists and voters who have appeared at city hall for what the GOP claims.

The president accused the explosion of “paid troublemakers” work and “it's all part of the game for the Democrats.” House Speaker Mike Johnson argued that the eruption was fired by “professional protesters.”

In response, Johnson, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Campaign Unit of the House GOP urged GOP lawmakers to avoid face-to-face gatherings with voters when possible, and instead host virtual city halls.

With their release, the DNC claimed that GOP lawmakers were “hiding from voters,” and that they “when Republicans across the country stand up” and “facing music” what Democrats call “unpopular agendas.”
