First Fox – The Democratic National Committee announced Monday night, on the eve of a vice presidential debate between former President Trump's running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who announced his candidacy for Vice President Kamala Harris. The video was projected onto Trump Tower in New York City. mate.
The image shown by the DNC, first shared on Fox News Digital, included critical comments Vance made on social media about Trump from eight years ago.
“Vance, Mr. Trump: 'What an idiot,'” the prediction was part of a direct quote from Vance's 2016 social media post.
Vance was once critical of President Trump when the former president first won the White House. But Vance became a key supporter and, after winning the 2022 Senate race with Trump's support, became a powerful ally of former President Trump and America First policies in the Senate.

Another predicted that Trump would be a chicken as the DNC continued its attacks on the former president, who said he would never debate Harris again.
President Trump said it was too late for a new discussion because early in-person and absentee voting is already underway in a growing number of states across the country.

A third projection from the DNC, illuminated by Trump Tower, reads “Project 2025 Headquarters.”
Project 2025 is a political initiative published by the prestigious Heritage Foundation, a top conservative think tank based in Washington, DC. Although some of the authors behind the initiative, which includes some controversial plans, are veterans of the Trump administration, the former president and his campaign have criticized Democrats' efforts to tie him to Project 2025. They are strongly opposed to repeated attempts.

Another DNC prediction is less controversial. It just says, “Go Coach Walz!”
Before entering politics, Walz was a longtime high school teacher and coach in Nebraska and then Minnesota.

“These predictions about Trump Tower in New York City mean that while Mr. Trump and Mr. Vance are acting on their own behalf, Mr. Trump will still return to the debate stage and criticize Vice Harris for his failed record and dangerous agenda. “It's a reminder that we fear being held accountable by the president,” DNC Vice News said. Director Abhi Rahman made this claim in a statement.
Rahman also predicted that “the United States will reject the selfish and extreme Project 2025 plan this November.''
This is the second time in a month that Democrats have projected images onto Trump Tower.
The DNC also beamed footage onto Trump Tower in Chicago ahead of the Democratic National Convention in August.
New York City's Trump Tower – located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street – has been a staple of Midtown Manhattan's skyline for nearly 40 years.
The commercial and residential tower serves as the headquarters of the Trump Organization and was the center of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
