Outkick Investigates Nike’s Possible Funding of Research
Outkick has done notable work in uncovering some intriguing developments recently.
A while back, they reported that Nike might have financed research involving young athletes—including transgender youth. Nike has remained unusually quiet about these claims.
Interestingly, many Democrats also haven’t commented on the matter. Outkick attempted to reach out to several lawmakers, including California’s Governor Gavin Newsom and Jasmine Crockett from Texas, but received no responses.
So, what was Outkick’s next move?
They decided to head to Washington D.C. to pose questions directly to Democrats!
In D.C., they managed to ask several prominent figures, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Crockett, Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and Sarah McBride. Unsurprisingly, most of these politicians avoided engaging with the questions, much like cockroaches fleeing when the lights come on.
When Pelosi was approached, she seemed evasive, asking, “What was not understood?” and quickly retreated to a restricted area instead of providing clarity.
Crockett, when asked about the research, dismissed the question without elaboration—this was the only interaction Outkick had with her.
McBride mentioned being “late” and apologized, but still avoided the discussion. Jeffries claimed he was “unfamiliar with” Nike’s research and similarly rushed off to a restricted area without offering further details.
Eventually, Outkick caught up with Ocasio-Cortez after another meeting. She stated, “I’ve heard nothing about it,” and declined to comment without more background information.
When asked about men competing in women’s sports, she remarked, “I’m on my way to vote,” before also departing.
In summary, the lack of responses from these political figures raises questions. Kudos to Outkick for their investigative spirit!
