Democrats are facing a tough moment following President Donald Trump's election. What do they believe in and who do they want to be? Their childish explosion at the joint address made it unclear.

You will be excused thinking they care about women. After all, many of them have arrived at President Trump's speech to Congress wearing pink. New Mexico Democrat Teresa Legger Fernandez said pink was “to raise the alarm that negatively impacted women (Trump) policies.”

But what does solidarity with women entail? A popular documentary from conservative provocateur Matt Walsh from a few years ago asked, “What is a woman?” Democrats make clear what they don't know.

Democrats refuse to define “women” when pushed by Capitol Hill: “Complete Questions”

Two months ago, many of the same women in the Democratic Women's Caucus voted against HR 28, “protection of women and girls in the home sports law,” along with their Senate counterparts who filed a lawsuit on a similar bill in early March. Only two Democrats in the House, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez and Texas native Henry Culler, were in favour of ousting biological boys out of girls' sports. There were no Senate Democrats.

The opposition to boys playing girls' sports is quite biased. A New York Times/Ipsos survey in January found that nearly 80% of Americans, and even 67% of Democrats, should not be allowed to compete with women. That number was 94% of Republicans. So, what are the Democrats thinking? In politics, these types of numbers are simple calls.

The Democrats are primarily controlled by special interest groups that continue to move them to the left. They cannot be seen as giving Trump a victory, even a matter that is as popular as saving girls' sports, as they are attacked by their base.

Earlier that day, the pink Democrat Women's Caucus held a press conference at the Capitol with signs that read, “Trump is betraying women for billionaires' tax cuts.” What does that mean? What tax cuts did Trump propose to hurt women?

It's a sideshow to deviate from the reality that it's Democrats who are hurting and betraying women because of their political agenda. In Trump's joint speech to Congress, they sat on stone faces and did not praise the various female heroes in the audience. They didn't applause as 12-year-old Joselyn Nungarray, who was murdered by illegal immigrants, or Trump, spoke directly to her and said he would name the National Wildlife Shelter in Joselyn's honor.

There is no applause for Little John in January, a Florida mother who stood up for her child after her school created a plan to use different names and pronouns at school without the knowledge of her parents. And they certainly didn't praise Payton McNabb, who suffered from brain damage after being hurt in a high school volleyball game against a biological boy. The very existence of McNabb shows how unconscious they don't care about girls.

It's not the first time Congressional Democrats have tried to tone their outfits to send messy messages. In 2017, more than 60 female House Democrats wore white, nodding to the voting rights that were wearing colours to protest for the right to vote. Sufraget was fighting for something. What are the Democrats fighting for today? They don't seem to know either.

In the 2004 comedy “Mean Girls,” the popular girl wore pink on Wednesdays, so everyone could quickly tell someone who doesn't belong to. Democrats can continue to strive to rule out 80% of countries that don't agree with their policies, but they cannot pretend to do that for women.
