Democrats spotlight Biden alter-ego ‘Dark Brandon’ as they launch billboards near GOP convention

First appearance on FOX – As Republican delegates, officials, activists and supporters head into the second day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Democrats have a message for them.

The day after former President Trump was formally nominated to lead the Republican Party in 2024, the Democratic National Committee is touting what it is highlighting as President Biden’s “record of victory” in a messaging push first shared with Fox News.

The Democratic National Committee installed eight new billboards in Milwaukee on Tuesday urging Wisconsinites to “Vote for Joe,” highlighting how Biden “created more than 15 million new good-paying jobs, lowered the cost of health care and prescription drugs, and worked to strengthen our democracy, not destroy it” during his three and a half years in the White House.

The Democratic National Committee installed billboards in Milwaukee in early July ahead of the start of the Republican convention, highlighting mistakes Trump has made in Wisconsin, a key battleground state, during his time in the White House.

But after the assassination attempt on former President Biden at a Trump rally in western Pennsylvania on Saturday, the signs were removed, along with all television ads the Biden campaign had run nationwide.

“The Democratic National Convention highlights the platform of Joe Biden’s victory and the policies that will benefit the American people,” said Deputy Communications Director Avi Rahman. “We’re bringing Dirk Brandon to Milwaukee to ensure voters are informed by outlining his bold second-term agenda that contrasts with the restoration of Roe, cutting costs, protecting Social Security and safeguarding our democracy that Wisconsinites are seeing onstage at the Republican National Convention this week.”

The sign was installed the day after Trump nominated Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, a leading ally of Trump in the Senate and a champion of the former president’s “America First” policies, as his running mate.

Lerman accused Trump, Vance and the Republicans of using the first day of the election to highlight “unpopular and extreme policies that strip women of their fundamental rights and leave working families behind.”
