The Department of Homeland Security responded, calling these criticisms misguided and highlighting that attacks on ICE agents have surged by 413% since actions were taken under President Trump to target violent illegal immigrants.
The rise in violent incidents isn’t just theoretical; it’s backed by real-world events. We’ve witnessed extreme actions from the left, including damage inflicted on facilities associated with figures like Elon Musk, and tragic incidents like the shooting at a congressional baseball practice. The protests following George Floyd’s death also resulted in significant destruction.
There’s a troubling pattern here: as Democrats label entire federal agencies as akin to Nazis, they risk inciting further violence against these agents. House Speaker Mike Johnson may need to take a firm stance against figures like Jeffries and Goldman, who could be seen as contributing to an environment of hostility and risk.
