Sen. Bernie Moreno’s Critique of Democratic Policies
At a recent event with Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlowe, Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) expressed strong criticism of Democrats, claiming they have “eviscerated our working class” by bringing in 10 million foreign workers.
Moreno attributed the rising appeal of socialism among young people to misguided policies that render the American Dream nearly out of reach. He emphasized that Republicans must confront this challenge and recognize the impact of the Biden administration’s immigration policies on the middle class.
“We need to move faster. It’s incredible how much the working class has suffered in this country during Biden’s time in office. They’ve really hurt our working class,” he stated. “Over 10 million foreign workers have been brought in, contributing to a housing crisis, an insurance crisis, and a food crisis. This, combined with the effects of the pandemic, has led to a significant increase in depression among young people.” He added, “We’ve even raised the price of cars,” while lamenting the current situation.
Moreno insisted that the damage done during Biden’s presidency cannot be quickly fixed. However, he urged Republicans to act with “full and utter urgency” to bring about change.
“The positive news, and I think I can represent Senate Republicans here, is that we’re speeding ahead at 160 miles per hour,” he stated, pointing to some recent improvements.
When Marlowe pressed for proactive policy recommendations, Moreno responded, “We have to address why mass deportations are necessary,” arguing against the perception that the Trump administration was specifically targeting Hispanic individuals.
“I wasn’t born here; I’m Hispanic, and I don’t see myself as a target. I seized the opportunity to become a U.S. citizen as soon as I could. This isn’t about being anti-Hispanic—it’s about saying, ‘You’re not invited to this country.’ It’s more like, ‘If I broke into your home, you wouldn’t just say, ‘Oh, since you’re here, let me provide for you.’ You’d expect me to leave,’” Moreno explained, making a comparison to emphasize his stance.
