Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers said during an appearance on the show that Democrats want to make China a “transportation winner” “forever.” Breitbart News Saturdaydiscusses what’s at stake in the upcoming election, especially in his state of Michigan.
The former congressman and leading Senate candidate, who served as chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, identified some of the challenges facing Democrats in this year’s elections, and the conversation will inevitably shift to the left. He touched on the promotion of electric vehicles (EV). He suggested that voters are unhappy with the government’s efforts to make driving mandatory and “create an environment where you can’t buy the kind of car you want in Michigan.”
Rogers said these types of mandates go against the lifestyle of many Michiganders who travel north to fish for trout, visit cabins and participate in other recreational activities.
“I mean, it’s tough, right? Well, when you get up there, you have to — you have to pull the boat sometimes,” he said. “What they’re demanding is, ‘No more living that lifestyle.’ The government is saying… ‘No, you can’t have that.’ It forces you to drive a car you don’t want to drive and probably won’t help your family. ” If you’re a mom and you’re trying to get your kids to both volleyball practice, basketball practice, and a debate event at school, an electric car won’t cut it. [sic] Work for you,” he said, adding that these people “even misunderstand autoworkers.”
“The workforce has been cut by 40 percent, and what they’ve done is basically mandated that the Chinese Communist Party buy a product that’s completely advantageous,” he said, adding, “85 percent of its cars are electric. Eighty-five percent of the systems and battery systems are processed in China.”
“So what you’re saying is you’re going to make China the winner forever in transportation, which is one-seventh of the economy,” he said, noting that this simply “defies logic.” .

He added that the administration, President Biden and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D), “basically paid $3 billion for two battery factories in northern Michigan, and by the way, the community didn’t want that, and the “$3 billion was a huge amount,” he added. Most of that will go to China and Chinese technology and Chinese engineers coming to Michigan to build these battery facilities. ”

“Why on God’s green earth would we donate American taxpayers to the Chinese Communist Party, which says it wants to control the global economy by 2035?” he asked, adding that national security , adding that it is bad for personal safety and personal finances.
“This is a disaster, and so are they,” the Senate hopeful added.
