In a part of the interview with NPR aired on Monday's “All Things Considered” broadcast, Rep. Marcy Captur (D-OH) declared that he “has made it better and put together a plan of progress that started with places that started with places that started with places that started with places that are falling from where people are voting for change simply because the economy isn't working for them.” And that those voters knew where they lived, so they voted for Donald Trump.
“They heard President Trump say he's making America great again. That's what they want to do and know where they live. They saw the factory close by. So we need to keep our eyes on it,” Kapter said.
NPR correspondent Barbara Sprout said, “She doesn't send a message on a plan that's clear enough about how Democrats can grow the economy.”
Splant then played the clip, and Kaptor said, “I have a different motto inhabited me, one of which is economics not destiny, but that's 85%. And Democrats start from where people are falling from where people are voting for change just because the economy isn't working for them.”
