Speaking on GMGT Live’s “The Reset Talk Show” on Friday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) argued that Democrats need to send a clear message at the upcoming Democratic National Convention, arguing that “we need to have a real border plan for dealing with migrants and asylum seekers, and we need to be clear about what that plan is.”
Adams said:[W]We need to go to that convention and deliver a clear message to the American people and craft the case for why we should continue to lead this country. … We need to be clear on our message and have a proper presentation that shows we can continue to lead this country. We need to have a real border plan to deal with immigrants and asylum seekers, but we need to be clear on what that plan is. Because if we lack clarity and people don’t come out of the convention saying, ‘I know what the Democrats stand for and how we’re going to execute the plan,’ we’re going to succumb to the messaging from the Republicans. So you can’t blame them for having clarity. We have to make sure our message is clear.”
