Donald Trump will address Congress for the first time since 2020 on Tuesday.
Trump vowed, “I'll say it is!”
As President Donald Trump addressed a joint parliamentary meeting on Tuesday, he is expected to outline the policy agenda, focusing on three pressing challenges in Ukraine: war, tariffs and potential government closures.
This will be Trump's first speech since his 2020 union speech, two months before the pandemic overthrew his first administration's priorities. Trump's story marks the only time the president gave a speech in Congress after five years of gaps.
“Tomorrow will be big,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social Platform on March 3rd.
The 47th President's speech begins at 9pm ET.
Democrats are reportedly planning a widespread protest.
Democrats are planning a widespread protest in President Donald Trump's speech to Congress on Tuesday night, but party members are debating how far they should go.
Many far-left Democrats claim big confusion at the event, ranging from a complete strike to using noise makers to drown Trump's speech, Axios reported Tuesday. Some of the milder ideas reportedly include carrying egg cartons to emphasize costs, carrying protest signs, and adjusting outfits.
“What we all agree with is that this isn't business as usual and we want to find a way to express our anger,” one lawmaker told Axios.
Other Democrats discussed plans to jump out of the room if Trump crossed certain rhetorical boundaries, such as discussing young people with gender disruption.
