Dems, protesters unhappy with Fetterman as he joins McCormick’s book tour

Pennsylvania Sens. Dave McCormick and John Fetterman will be holding their first joint open event in Pittsburgh this Saturday, but not everyone is happy with the show of Democrat Senators' bipartisan support for a new book by a Republican colleague.

An activist group on Monday without McCormick Pittsburgh is planning a protest against inseparable Pittsburgh this Saturday, urging Pennsylvania senators to listen to the people and host city hall.

Meanwhile, former Rep. Connor Lamb, a leading 2022 Democrat candidate for Fetterman, has piled up over allegations against the Democratic senator. Philadelphia referralquestioning where Fetterman was during President Donald Trump's second term.

“That's what John Fetterman does. He should not only talk, he should listen to people, and instead he sounds like he's trying to listen to Dave McCormick and cheer for Dave McCormick to sign Dave McCormick's book,” Lamb said.

McCormick actively shares weekly meetings with social media constituents, but it's been more than two months since Fetterman held a public event in Pennsylvania.

Fetterman is the only Democrat senator willing to meet Trump at Mar Arago ahead of his inauguration, and has remained steady in his support for Israel and co-hosted the Laken Riley Act, which allows the ice to detain undocumented immigrants who committed crimes in the United States. McCormick has welcomed the bipartisan side of his counterparts, but Democrats weren't so happy that Fetterman was hanging from his party.

“He's been saying the same thing about Democrats for six months now. “The Democrats know we have some issues, but he has some work to do… I know that breaking Democrats has attracted a lot of attention on him, but he didn't take office to become a political commentator. He took office to get results.”

The Pittsburgh Book Tour event will include conversations between the Pennsylvania Senator and his wife, Gisele Barrett Fetterman and Dina Powellma Cormick.

Pittsburgh protesters laughed at the “paid event” originally planned at City Winery. The event location has been changed to “Places to be announced.” However, protesters are not deterred and have vowed to gather in the strip district.

“Our senators seem to have caught the wind in the fact that their members want to listen, and instead of holding a town hall, they moved the paid event (the subject of this protest) to a private location.

Both Democrats and Republicans couldn't avoid the rage of members at City Hall, including many who were unhappy with Trump's enforcement actions, many who were worried about cutting programs like Medicare and Social Security, Elon Musk's government programs and spending at the Department of Government Efficiency.

Democrats have launched coordinated efforts to host “People's Town Hall” in all 50 states after a wave of coordinated and destructive protest led Republican leaders. The DNC held a total of 22 events in 13 states on Fox News Digital Friday, with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Democratic parties in the first week.

The Pittsburgh protest posters include “missing” posters like the ones that the Florida Democrats used to troll Republican Congress leaders because they were not holding city halls in Parson. Tensions at City Hall were along partisan boundaries, but Pennsylvania voters are united in dissatisfaction with senators on the political aisle.

McCormick and Fetterman traded jabs during Republican Senate elections last year, but the Pennsylvanians have put the difference aside since McCormick replaced former Senator Bob Casey in the US Senate last year. They sat for a joint interview and came together to support the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl lix, After McCormick and Fetterman agreed to “break the bread” in January and met their wife for dinner.

When he appeared on Donald Trump Jr.'s podcast, Trigger, McCormick outlined his relationship with Fetterman, calling him a “voice of reason” among Democrats on issues such as border security, halting the flow of fentanyl and supporting Israel.

“I trust him. I think he's a very real guy,” McCormick said. “I think he'll be a good partner.”

McCormick and Fetterman did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
