Divorce Battle Heats Up Involving Charlie Sheen and Brandi Glanville

Aaron Phypers, Dennis Richards’ estranged husband, is attempting to involve Charlie Sheen and Brandi Glanville in their ongoing divorce proceedings. Recent court documents reveal that Phypers’ attorneys have summoned these two as potential witnesses in a case filled with conflict.

Filed on September 29, these documents precede scheduled hearings set for October 6 to 8. They assert that Glanville, who appeared alongside Richards on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and was previously married to her, could provide insights into “the history of drug and alcohol abuse, not Dennis’ truth.”

Phypers Accuses Richards of Abuse

Phypers, 53, initiated the divorce after seven years of marriage in June. Following accusations of domestic violence from Richards, she was granted a temporary restraining order in July. That same month, Phypers alleged in a letter that Richards had issues with Vicodin, from which he claimed that she also had cheated on him and physically abused him. Both parties have denied each other’s accusations.

Richards, 54, responded to the witness list by voicing objections to including Sheen and Glanville, indicating they lack credibility on the matter. The response highlighted that these individuals, as well as Richards’ father, couldn’t accurately testify about the alleged abuse against Phypers.

The witness list also names Richards, asking her to refute “all false allegations” against Phypers, while Phypers’ list includes claims about Richards’ supposed drug use and instances of violence.

Responses from legal experts have critiqued the rationale behind calling Sheen and Glanville as witnesses, describing it as potentially irrelevant and aimed at embarrassing Richards. They emphasize that the testimony relating to past drug issues isn’t pertinent to proving whether domestic abuse occurred.

Former Marriage and Current Dynamics

Sheen and Richards were married from 2002 to 2006 and share two daughters. While their marriage was tumultuous due to Sheen’s struggles with substance abuse, they seem to have developed a positive co-parenting relationship over the years, even referencing their amicable interactions in recent interviews.

On the other hand, the relationship between Glanville and Richards has been contentious. They were co-stars on “The Real Housewives,” but tension arose, particularly when allegations regarding Richards’ fidelity surfaced. Glanville has made claims that have been firmly denied by Richards, adding layers of complexity to the evolving legal narrative.

In light of these developments, various legal professionals echo concerns about the direction this divorce case is taking. They suggest that if the current trajectory continues, it could cost both parties significantly, urging them to find a resolution.
