That's not a laughing matter.
A Houston dentist hid over 100 nitrous oxide or laughing gas inside his car after leading officers in a short chase on Saturday, and said he likes to huff while driving. I've admitted.
Christopher Michael Pedler, 39, was arrested for harmful gas, fled police and was charged with possession of volatile chemicals. Khou-TV reported this week.
“It's a very sad situation,” Houston Police Officer Alan Rosen told the outlet. “The very product they use – the 107 canister is quite a thing. He used it while they were driving.
“He admitted that,” Rosen said. “He said there was a problem.”
That wasn't Pedler's first bust against his suspected addiction – Harris County District Clerk's records show that dentists were accused of interfering with civil servants in October, possessing volatile chemicals. It shows that.
According to Khou, he was on a $5,000 bond in that case and was ordered to get medical treatment.

In his new case, Pedler is said to have been driving along West 19th Avenue in Houston on Saturday. He was found by a 44 mph police car in a 30 mph zone and refused to stop for police.
He is said to have pulled about half a mile later and confessed his chemicals and his affinity for it.
Pedlar was arrested Monday and released on a $10,000 bond.
The Texas Dental Examination Board told Khou it would not comment on public complaints or investigations, the outlet reported.
