Deputy AG cautions that the US needs to be concerned about Minnesota following church disturbance

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has raised alarms about escalating protests in Minnesota, specifically mentioning disruptions at St. Paul’s Church. He indicated these demonstrations have been “encouraged by local authorities,” which is concerning for Americans. Previously, he sent grand jury subpoenas to several offices in Minnesota, including those of the governor, attorney general, and Minneapolis mayor.

On “The Ingraham Angle,” Blanche noted, “We have been saying for the last two weeks that the federal government and this administration will not tolerate what local officials have done and have done.”

A key figure behind the protests has reportedly raised over $1 million from anti-poverty nonprofits, directly linked to the recent troubles.

Renee Good, who was 37, was shot on January 7 during a confrontation with ICE agents. Her death has sparked protests against immigration enforcement, leading to confrontations with federal agents.

Blanche explained that federal authorities had warned local leaders before launching their investigation. He accused local officials of stirring up riots and obstructing federal agents. He remarked, “I didn’t see the governor or the mayor react in horror to what happened in that church.”

Walz, the governor, took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on the subpoenas, suggesting that using the justice system against political opponents is a tactic of authoritarian regimes. He also stated, “The only person not being investigated in the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.”

The Department of Homeland Security supported its agents, claiming Good tried to “weaponize the vehicle” against them. However, Minnesota officials are considering a separate investigation to look into these claims.
