The governor added that the proposed enactment will help Florida “help help the Trump administration fulfill its mandate that it must end the illegal immigration crisis entirely.

“There are some very strong measures that will be taken into consideration, such as making it a crime to enter Florida illegally. Other states are doing that and it's their turn to follow suites,” DeSantis said.

The proposal also ends “catches and releases for illegal criminal aliens,” and “requests all state and local law enforcement agencies to assist federal authorities in enforcement,” the governor added. .

DeSantis also noted “penals for the mayor, police and sheriff” and “suspensions and removal from duties” that do not comply with law enforcement.

“All constitutional powers exist in the governor as intended under our constitution,” DeSantis revealed. “I know that I know a lot of concerns about subcontracting immigration enforcement to the Agriculture Secretary, which is not in these sets of proposals.”

“I think this is really, really strong. I praise Congress for stepping into the plate. If they can pass on the proposal as presented now, they hope for my strong support. I can,” the governor of Florida added.

“Now is the time for us to do this. We've been talking about this for years,” DeSantis insisted. “Now we have that mission and we have to fulfill that mission. Florida is doing everything we can to become a great partner with the federal government in this very important national initiative. Masu.”

Perez also cried out about the issue in Monday's X-Post, saying, “Our commitment to leading the country in immigration enforcement has been strengthened by cooperation and input. [DeSantis] and [Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson]. ”

“Check it out — it's impressive that DeSantis and Congress can advance additional immigration enforcement actions,” said Jessica Vaughn, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies. “It's a great model for you.”

“Florida's free states are once again leading the country by enacting the country's most powerful illegal immigration enforcement law,” writes Casey DeSantis, Florida's first lady.
