DeSantis Refuses to Name Another State He Could Win After Iowa

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida), a Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, said in an interview Thursday on NBC's “Nightly News” that his campaign has “a great” organization in the early primary states. However, he declined to say which states he could win.

“You put all your eggs in the Iowa basket,” reporter Dasha Burns said.

Mr. DeSantis retorted: That's not true. ”

Burns asked, “Can you name any other states you could win?”

DeSantis said, “Yeah, yeah, wait until you see what happens when we get out of Iowa.”

Burns asked, “Name any other states you think you can win.''

“We're going to win a lot of states. We've got a great organization in New Hampshire. We've got a great organization in South Carolina,” DeSantis said.

Burns asked, “Do you think we can beat New Hampshire?”

DeSantis said: “Through Super Tuesday, we have a lot of great organizations. We know this is a very dynamic thing. We know it's a long process. I'm sure we'll win, so we're looking forward to it.” But it's not like we've put all our eggs in. We have a great organization and field program early on, and we're going to compete in all of them.”
