Detroit father fatally shot while trying to stop suspects from stealing his car

A Detroit father was shot and killed Saturday night while trying to stop multiple suspects from stealing his car outside the liquor store where he worked, according to local reports.

Taia Dado, 43, was working part-time at All Stars Beverage liquor store in the 10600 block of West Chicago Boulevard when she went to take out the trash around 11:30 p.m. FOX2 Detroit report.

According to the report, Dado saw the suspects in the parking lot reversing their car and tried to stop them.

“Then all of a sudden the passenger seat opened and they started shooting him,” Dado’s nephew Manar Dano told police.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, the Detroit News reported, citing police.

Meanwhile, the suspects stole Dado’s car and remained on the run as of Sunday. Police did not immediately release information about the suspect. Fox News Digital contacted police, who did not immediately respond.
