Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) delivered a powerful speech at the Republican National Convention this week, likening former President Trump to a lion rising up after an assassination attempt.
“Are you ready for four more years of Donald Trump?” Tim Scott asked the crowd, who responded enthusiastically.
“If you didn’t believe in miracles before Saturday, you should believe now,” he said. “I thank God Almighty that I live in a country that still believes in God, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega. And our God, our God, still saves, still delivers, still sets us free. Because on Saturday, the devil came to Pennsylvania with a rifle, but the American Lion rose up and roared! He roared!”
The crowd went wild.
Elsewhere in his speech, Scott again rejected the idea that America is a racist country.
