The Devils woke up this morning with some pretty awesome entry gear.
The New Jersey team, which faces the Metropolitan Division rival Flyers in Saturday night’s Stadium Series, arrived at MetLife Stadium wearing jerseys, paying homage to HBO’s hit series “The Sopranos” in the process.
In a video shared by Devils on X, the team’s players entered the football stadium wearing different colored jerseys, slicked back hair, white tank tops and jewelry around their necks.
Star forward Jack Hughes was among those joining in on the fun, trotting into the building wearing a blue and white jersey.
Timo Meier and Jesper Bratt posed for a photo outside Satriale’s Pork Shop with espresso cups held to their mouths as if they were Tony Soprano.
The team’s fans seemed to approve of the fun outfit.
“This is a nail.” one fan wrote in agreement With X.
“I knew it was going to be this way, but it was still a 10/10 execution,” Devils play-by-play man Bill Spaulding wrote.
“Did Tommy DeVito lead them out?” asked one X user About the Giants backup quarterback.
Another person wrote, “Seeing this almost makes me a Devils fan.”
The opponents also had a lot of fun in their pregame gear, with Philadelphia coming off the team bus all dressed as Sylvester Stallone’s “Rocky” as if they were ready to climb the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It looked like.
Both teams will hope that pregame fun translates to on-ice success as they stake their positions in the Eastern Conference.
