DHS Detains Undocumented Individuals in Minnesota, Including Sex Offenders and Violent Criminals

DHS Highlights Recent Arrests of Dangerous Illegal Immigrants

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is bringing attention to several arrests of particularly dangerous illegal immigrants, including those accused of serious crimes like sexual offenses, domestic violence, and drug trafficking.

As part of Operation Metro Surge, an initiative targeting harmful illegal individuals in Minnesota, officials have apprehended people convicted of crimes such as child sexual abuse, aggravated sexual assault, and drug-related offenses, according to information shared with Breitbart News.

“Just yesterday, we arrested multiple offenders linked to sex crimes, violent behavior, and drug trafficking here in Minnesota,” stated Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Our law enforcement put themselves at risk to capture these individuals who endanger community safety. We urge Minnesota leaders to take action against criminal illegal aliens instead of letting them roam free to commit more offenses. We owe it to the ICE detainees who are currently holding over 1,360 illegal aliens in Minnesota.

Notable detainees include:

  • Ger Van, an illegal immigrant from Laos, convicted of sexual abuse of a minor and theft.
  • Flavio Rodrigo Panza, an illegal alien from Ecuador, convicted of aggravated sexual assault.
  • Vong Chai Siong, an aggravated felon from Laos, convicted of third-degree criminal sexual assault.
  • Luis Trejo-Miranda, an illegal alien from Mexico, convicted of aggravated assault and DUI.
  • Ezequiel Juarez Arizmendi, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, convicted of domestic assault and drunk driving.
  • Antonio Onofre-Morales, convicted of drug possession for sale.
  • Neri Ronaldo Castro, an illegal alien from El Salvador, convicted of vehicle theft and drunk driving.

The day prior, DHS had announced more arrests in Minnesota, which included:

  • Roberto De Leon Garcia, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested for second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a minor, and conspiracy to transport an alien within the U.S.
  • Tao Pao Xiong, an illegal alien from Laos, convicted of numerous offenses including fleeing from a peace officer, drug possession, and domestic violence.
  • Philip Adjoko, an illegal alien from Ghana, convicted of second-degree assault involving a dangerous weapon.
  • Luis Amigon Dominguez, an illegal alien from Mexico, convicted of second-degree assault and illegally re-entering the U.S. after deportation.
