The Department of Homeland Security has revealed the capture of several dangerous offenders across the United States, including murderers, violent criminals, and drug traffickers.
On Friday, DHS announced that ICE apprehended immigrants with murder convictions in states like Texas, California, and New York, while also detaining violent assailants and drug dealers in Missouri and New York.
“While certain politicians treat public safety lightly by releasing criminals without informing ICE, our law enforcement personnel risk their lives to apprehend these threats,” remarked Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Just yesterday, DHS arrested a number of murderers, violent offenders, and drug traffickers. We are committed to removing criminals from our communities.”
The recent arrests by ICE include:
Osvaldo Rivero-Ledesma, a Cuban immigrant, was convicted of murder in Rusk County, Texas.
Pablo Caballero, a Honduran immigrant, was found guilty of murder in Mineola, New York.
Luis Enrique Barrios-Ixcorin, a Guatemalan immigrant, was convicted of manslaughter and illegal firearm possession in San Francisco, California.
Andres Linares Cardenas, a Cuban immigrant, was convicted of assault in New York, New York.
Carlos Quintero-Palafox, a Mexican immigrant, was convicted of drug distribution in Kansas City, Missouri.
The arrests carried out on Thursday also featured previous captures which included:
Yang Yukai, a Chinese immigrant convicted of attempted first-degree murder and multiple assaults in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Pedro Zayas Rodriguez, a Cuban immigrant, found guilty of drug possession, robbery with intent to cause harm, and assaulting a police officer across several counties and states.
Miguel Angel Velasquez-Martinez, a Mexican immigrant convicted of serious drug trafficking offenses and DUI in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Diego Carranza Anarcho, a Mexican immigrant, was convicted of money laundering in Nacogdoches County, Texas, while William Barragan, an Ecuadorian immigrant, was convicted of sexual battery in Bronx, New York.
