Diana Russini Contacted an NFL Head Coach to Prevent a Speeding Ticket

Resurfacing Video of Dianna Russini’s Traffic Stop

A video featuring Dianna Russini has resurfaced, showcasing her account of how she avoided a speeding ticket. The segment was part of her appearance on the Stagots & Co. podcast, which aired shortly before rumors of her alleged affair with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel came to light.

During the podcast, Russini recounted an incident where she was pulled over by police. In an attempt to evade the ticket, she claimed to break news about Sean McDermott’s firing. The officer, however, wasn’t amused, saying he wasn’t a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Once she learned the officer’s team of choice, she offered to connect him with that team’s head coach.

“Would you like to chat with the coach? I’m on FaceTime with him right now. He’s in his office,” Russini explained. “I told the officer, ‘I just got pulled over and wanted to introduce you to my friend, Officer Joe.’”

In a surprising turn, the unnamed coach chimed in to assist Russini further.

“The head coach was really supportive; he said, ‘She’s done nothing wrong. Let’s let her go, she’s a good citizen,'” she continued.

Upon hearing the FaceTime conversation, the officer appeared taken aback and decided to let her off with a warning.

One podcast listener humorously remarked, “I wish we had that kind of access,” prompting laughter from the host.

Following this incident, two months later, Page Six released a photo of Russini and Vrabel enjoying time together on a rooftop. Although both denied having an affair initially, mounting evidence led Russini to resign from her position as a highly-paid writer at The Athletic, while Vrabel sought treatment.

Recently leaked messages between Russini and an Athletic reporter highlighted her feelings about the situation, stating, “This has had a huge impact on my life, both professionally and personally,” while even calling herself a “former journalist” in passing.

When the reporter mentioned the possibility of publishing the texts, Russini sent a letter to The Athletic’s publisher and senior editors, requesting that the messages remain off the record. However, according to reports, no agreement was reached on that matter.

Russini has remained silent on the subject since April, although she was spotted recently sharing a kiss with her husband outside their home on Mother’s Day.
