Did Zohran Mamdani misrepresent his citizenship status? Liz Wheeler reveals possible immigration fraud

Last year, Republican Congress members Andy Ogles from Tennessee and Randy Fine from Florida urged the Department of Justice to look into the denaturalization of Zoran Mamdani. They made claims that he had misrepresented or hidden important details in his naturalization application from 2018.

While the Department of Justice hasn’t publicly addressed the request, Blaze TV presenter Liz Wheeler thinks there is merit to the investigation.

“We contend that Zoran Mamdani might not legitimately be an American citizen,” she states.

In a recent episode of “The Liz Wheeler Show,” she explores Mamdani’s naturalization application, the relevant federal law that permits citizenship revocation when fraud or concealment is detected, and what she considers credible evidence suggesting he may have deceived officials to gain citizenship.

Liz points to federal law, specifically 8 USC § 1451, stating, “If naturalized citizenship was ‘obtained illegally or by concealment of material fact or intentional misrepresentation,’ then the U.S. government is obligated to begin denaturalization processes.”

She raises a provocative question: “If I conceal such a fact, can that be seen as intentional misrepresentation?”

Liz showcases a blank naturalization application form (Form N-400) that was used from 2016 to 2019—the very version Mamdani would have filled out in 2017. She reads two questions that she believes he may not have answered truthfully.

1. “Have you ever been a member or associated in any way (either directly or indirectly) with A (communist party), B (another totalitarian political party), or C (terrorist organization)?”

2. “Have you ever lied to a U.S. government official in order to enter or obtain permission to enter the United States, or to secure immigration benefits while in the U.S.?”

She emphasizes three main pieces of evidence that might make Mamdani’s naturalized citizenship open to denaturalization. Firstly, his public praise for the Holy Land Five, which is classified as a terrorist organization in the U.S.; secondly, his connections with communist affiliate Roy Singham’s groups, such as the Socialist Liberation Party; and thirdly, his ongoing membership in the Democratic Socialists of America. Liz mentions, “Our goal is to establish a totalitarian government through violent means.”

She concludes that there are two possibilities: either the application he submitted was fraudulent, or the approval process was flawed. For a more in-depth discussion on Mamdani’s troubling background, check out the episode linked above.
