A judge found Sean “Diddy” Combs guilty on two transport charges related to prostitution, yet he was acquitted of the more serious allegations during his federal trial.
Combs could face up to 20 years in prison for the counts he was convicted on, and public opinion appears divided about whether justice was served.
“I think he’s a victim. I really do—I know it sounds odd,” said Anton Daniels while chatting with Jason Whitlock on “Fearless.”
“This trial just proves that point. Anyone who has been following this case since the charges were first revealed would likely agree that it’s been an effort from the federal government to achieve a win until they announced the decision,” Daniels added.
“Not only did they try to win, they succeeded—and with the added drama of him being tied to someone like Cathy, people jumped on that,” he remarked.
Daniels also expressed a belief that Diddy didn’t have a fair trial, suggesting that the evidence presented seemed biased against him from the start.
“He was already painted in a negative light before entering the courtroom. They denied him bail, kept him in jail, and tried to use Cathy to encourage others to file lawsuits,” he explained, adding, “It felt like a situation far from justifiable.”
Delano Squires disagreed, suggesting that Diddy cannot be seen as a victim.
“His decisions played a crucial role in leading him to this point,” Squires maintained. “He hired someone to engage with women involved in his life.”
“While Anton’s perspective is about him being overcharged, it’s important to note that Diddy’s actions led to this circumstance,” he added.
