voting record Historically, they have mainly voted for the Liberal Democratic Party. Labor in 2024

amuse bush Once, he was approached at a kebab shop in Cambridge and asked to help tackle Tehran's air pollution. He already had a job so he refused.

voting record I once voted Liberal Democrat, but other than that I've always voted Labor.

amuse bush I had a UFO experience in my 20s. He saw three orange lights in the shape of a triangle moving independently in the sky.

For beginners

andy He seemed very kind, calm and thoughtful. I thought it would work. There was a natural chemical reaction.

mat He was approachable, knowledgeable, and professional. I was expecting an influencer or a Twitch streamer, but he had a very interesting job and was too advanced for me to understand.

andy We had crab bisque, Dover sole with capers, and quince tart.

mat We shared the smallest tin of caviar. I had prawns as an appetizer, then half a lobster and chips, and something like a sponge cake.

andy We both love games. He believed in stronger state regulation and its surroundings. I have a more liberal approach and think there should be more personal responsibility when it comes to gaming addiction and in-app purchases. Matt was very direct. For him, gaming used to be an escape from the negative aspects of life. For me, it has always been a positive escape. Like books and movies, we value intelligence and artistic merit.

mat I had a very bad experience when I was a teenager that caused me to withdraw from the world. It sounded as if to him there was no reason for the game to be anything more than just fun. Overall, my perspective is a little more cynical. One of the reasons why games are so fun to play is because they have a way of getting you hooked.

andy I think it's a problem, but I don't think it affects that many people. It's not as bad as gambling, which is a really short-term, high-risk investment. Games are like retail services. You buy things to improve your appearance. You are getting something in return.

mat I think we're seeing more and more crossover with simpler forms of gambling. I think a lot of companies hire statisticians to figure out how to make a lot of money on small trades, just like casinos do. That way, you can feel like you have agency as you gradually get drawn into the web. But he gave me some time to think about whether my position was a bit too extreme based on my own experience.

mat We talked about pagers exploding in Lebanon. His first reaction was, “Wow, that's a James Bond-level story. How did someone do this?” This is impressive. ” That's what I thought at first, but I've seen videos of explosions in public places killing children. It was a completely reckless act. I was a little disturbed by the neutral reporting style in the Western media.

andy He knew some of the details of how they were able to intercept the pager transport and plant the explosives, which seemed like an impossible task to me. I did. But having innocent people caught in the crossfire was clearly a problem. I think our perspectives are pretty much the same. It is tragic when civilians are killed, no matter which side of the conflict they are on.

for after

mat We talked about recent donations and the £2,000 glasses given to Keir Starmer. When it comes to donations and extra-parliamentary income, we should start by looking at the big picture, rather than digging into specific individuals.

andy Certain sections of the media like to paint all politicians the same, but the previous government did pretty badly not only in terms of expenses but also in wasting public money. Dangerous PPE contracts cost billions of pounds, and £2,000 for glasses seems like a fairly trivial matter.

andy He really seemed like someone I could become friends with. I felt like we were in agreement on most points.

mat He invited me to play online games with him and his friends. So let's do that.
