Dismissed NYS teacher accused of threatening former employer shares intimidating videos featuring bizarre Scorsese assertion

A former teacher is facing serious trouble after allegedly making threats against his ex-boss. Samuel McVeigh, 46, previously taught Spanish at a middle school in New Rochelle but was let go after only five months. Since then, he’s taken to YouTube, posting wild videos filled with threats against various entities, including police and school districts.

Just hours after his arrest last week, McVeigh began sharing strange and aggressive videos, in which he hurled ethnic slurs and made threats toward reporters. In one of his rants, he remarked, “You’re such an ugly, cheap, Latina liar,” and added a disparaging comment about sanitation workers in New York City.

Across nearly a dozen videos, McVeigh also claimed to be embroiled in lawsuits with three prominent school districts in Westchester County. He mentioned film director Martin Scorsese and discussed the possibility of training for a UFC fight, alongside alleging an FBI investigation into the New Rochelle police department.

He expressed disbelief at the police’s competence, saying, “You’re just not mentally fit to go into law enforcement,” while advising the officers to turn in their badges. He continued, saying, “Get out of New Rochelle, get out of New York state. Nobody wants to see you.”

McVeigh’s attorney has chosen not to comment on the unfolding case. Despite the serious charges of aggravated harassment, he maintains his innocence, stating, “I have never threatened anyone in the New Rochelle School District. I’m a big teddy bear.” However, an arrest warrant indicates that he approached his former boss, Corey Reynolds, with an ax.

Documents reveal that McVeigh had emailed his former employer’s secretary multiple times, hinting at violent intentions, specifically mentioning he was “coming into the building with a gun.” He was let go from his teaching position in January and moved to Los Angeles after his arrest on March 15.

Following yet another alleged threat, Reynolds informed parents in a letter that police were back at the school. There hasn’t been a public explanation for McVeigh’s firing, but he suggested in one of his rants that it might have been due to holding a fundraiser for his youth sports organization on school property.
