It may be a small world, but there is a big change for guests of Disneyland's Main Street USA and its “it's a small world” charm.
According to Disney Parks blog, the resort is celebrating its 70th anniversary, with new lyrics being added to the song synonymous with Boat Ride.
As Rider step into the Main Street Cinema, the new short film, “The Last Verse,” highlights the two brothers of the music that collaborated with Walt Disney on the song “It's Amall World.”
In the film, the new poem written by Richard M. Sherman will officially be added to the lyrics of “Popular Songs,” a Disneyland spokesman confirmed by Fox News Digital.
Richard Sherman passed away in May 2024 at the age of 95, but not before writing his third and final poem aimed at making his debut to mark the 60th anniversary of the song.
A new poem, published in November, states, “Mother Earth connects us with hearts and hearts / And the love we give makes us humanity / Through our vast, mysterious lands / I When they stand hand in hand / after all, it's a small world.”
The song “It's Almall World” made its debut at the New York World Fair in 1964. Featuring the use of animatronics, the ride became a visitor's favorite and moved to Disneyland in 1966.
Other popular songs written by Richard Sherman and his brother Dick Sherman include “Super Cauliflagiristic Spearidusias” and “Spoonful of Sugar” from the film “Mary Poppins.” It's there.
The brothers also wrote from the Jungle Book, “I am like you (the monkey song).”
The Sherman brothers won an Oscar for “Chym Chim Shar A” song for “Mary Poppins,” and were nominated by eight other people in the 1960s and 1970s.
The short film and new poem from “It's a Small World” will debut at Disneyland on July 17th.
According to Disney Parks' blog, Disney will offer several other gallery experiences to celebrate its 70th anniversary.
