The LGBTQ activist website was “anxiety” with cartoon characters praying.

PinkNews “The introduction of the Christian character explicitly is rather harmless in itself, but the context surrounding the show — and Disney Overall – it made some LGBTQ+ TV enthusiasts a bit unsettling. ”

“Rawley's Christian beliefs are not portrayed as anti-trans, and Christian characters are not inconsistent with trans characters, but of course someone can be both religious and transgender, but I feel that the two connected decisions indicate Disney is returning to a more traditional and conservative worldview,” the outlet added.

LGBTQ Nation “The opening episode now introduces Laurie, and Laurie's first line depicts her praying to her “Heavenly Father.” ”

The outlet said, “As Donald Trump and the Republicans continue to terrorize the trans community and use Christianity as justification, her introduction is introduced when Christians claim to be persecuted by diversity, equity and inclusive efforts.”

The site destroyed Disney for a “bending to conservative will.”

“Win or Lose” originally had a much more progressive agenda.

As Blaze News reported in December 2024, Disney succumbed to pressure from conservative parents who wanted to remove transgender characters in animated children's shows.

One of the characters on the show was originally scheduled to feature a trans storyline based on middle school children.

Disney cut scenes with a transgender child discussing gender identity.

A Disney spokesman said in December 2024, “We recognize that when it comes to animated content for younger audiences, many parents prefer to discuss specific subjects on their terms and timelines.”

According to Hollywood Reporter“The characters remain on the show, but a few lines of dialogue referring to gender identity have been removed. A source close to “Win or Lose” said the studio had made the decision to change course a few months ago.

The character is voiced by 18-year-old transgender actor Chanel Stewart.

The liberals launched petition To revive the transgender story, they only received 8,300 signatures.

As Blaze News reported in November 2023, Pixar's parent Disney warned investors in its annual financial report with the Securities and Exchange Commission that its enthusiasts were presenting risks to “reputation and brands.”
