Details Emerge from Search Warrant in Tyler Robinson Case

A recent search warrant related to Tyler Robinson, the Utah man charged with the murder of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, has unveiled significant evidence. Investigators traced his DNA and cell phone data, which placed him at the scene of the shooting in September.

The authorities reportedly gathered DNA from fingerprints and smudged palm prints located near the northeast corner of the Rothesay Center, where Robinson fell from the roof. Additionally, his cell phone records indicated his location on September 10, 2025, and the directions on Google Maps were to a spot near Utah Valley University’s campus, according to local reports.

Prosecutor Responds to Allegations of Inconsistency

As part of the investigation, a note supposedly written by Robinson was found, directed towards Lance Twiggs, his romantic partner. In an emotional tone, he expressed regret and mentioned being on a “mission,” suggesting an automatic text message was set up without additional context.

“Luna, if you are reading this according to my writing, I am truly sorry,” the note read. He reflected on a dark thought, saying he likely would have faced severe consequences had he not taken the action he did toward Charlie Kirk. “I had an opportunity to take Charlie Kirk out, so I took it,” he wrote, leaving a lingering sadness in his words.

Robinson also shared sentiments of love and longing, wishing for a different reality where he and his partner could be together. “There are no words to express how much I love you and how much you mean to me,” he stated in the letter.

Investigation Timeline Revealed

The search warrant also detailed a timeline that outlined Robinson’s actions leading up to and following the shooting. He arrived in Orem in a gray Dodge Challenger around 8:29 a.m., as documented in previous court records. Surveillance footage captured him entering the UVU campus at around 11:50 a.m., and he was seen checking his phone shortly before the incident.

By 12:02 p.m., footage documented Robinson stepping onto the campus while exhibiting an “unusual gait” believed to be due to a concealed rifle. Approximately 13 minutes later, he was observed maneuvering to the roof of the Rothesay Center, positioning himself to shoot at Kirk, who was speaking during a campus event. At 12:23 p.m., as Kirk posed a question, a shot rang out, tragically striking him in the neck. Surveillance captured Robinson fleeing the scene.

Robinson faces charges of aggravated murder and other related offenses for the shooting of Kirk during a Turning Point USA event. He has pleaded not guilty, while prosecutors have indicated intentions to pursue the death penalty in this case.
